Easter 2008

Easter wasn't too exciting for the Larson household. We had had about as much excitement as we could handle the day before with Rhys' Birthday Party. We just went to church and came home to relax. That afternoon we went to visit a friend that had back surgery that Monday and show them what Rhys looked like in the outfit that they got him for his birthday.

Daddy and Rhys were matching that day. Aren't they cute!

Rhys is playing with his new Elmo chair. Pants are optional when you want to play.

Mooching off of Daddy's lunch.

Family Picture - I look terrible.

Rhys loves to be upside down. This is also a good angle to see where he crashed into the floor head first the night before and got a big, bloody upper lip.

Rhys' 1st Birthday! :)

Rhys had his 1st Birthday on March 21st, but he had his 1st Birthday Party on Saturday, March 22nd. We invited lots of family and a few friends. We, my wonderful mother and sister-in-law and I, made homemade pizzas for supper for everyone. Then, we watched Rhys open his presents. Next, we watched Rhys dig into his own little cake, baked especially by Mommy. Finally, everyone else got to partake of a delicious cake, not baked by Mommy, and ice cream.

Grampa Larson made Rhys a really cute rocking horse, so we thought that he shoud test it out. Gramma was there just in case he fell off and he wasn't very sturdy, so it was a good thing she was there.

Modeling a new hat given to his by Great Grandma Gackle and Great Uncle Mayn.

Cousin Kylie was a big help.

Rhys is sitting amongst his plunder!

His birthday cake. It looked exactly like the plates that I had for the theme of his party.

We finally got him to keep his "Fun To Be 1" hat on long enough to take a picture.

Blowing out his candle - well, Daddy blowing out his candle! :)

Partaking in his own cake. He was a LOT unsure about all of this, but I got him started.

After much coercing and a lot of help from Auntie Candace.

Going all in!

He couldn't breath after that last plunge into the cake. Mommy had to clean out his nose with her pinky fingernail.

BATH TIME!

March Pics

Rhys has decided that he likes to climb and he really likes the dishwasher. Whenever I am doing the dishes he is right there to help pull them out, bang on the dishwasher or climb into the dishwasher.
Posin' in the dishwasher!

He is already a basketball player. Slam dunkin' it!

Daddy thought that this would be a good place to corral Rhys in.

Rhys had a really rough night of teething, so he slept in Daddy and Mommy's bed. The next pictures are of him waking up.

Are you seriously taking a picture of me, Mom?
Bed Head!

Can't live without the pacifier.

I can't face the world yet!

He just got done pulling all of his toys out of his toy cabinet behind him and he was proud.
