February Pics

Rhys loves to have his clothes off, so when I change him out of his pj's I usually let him play around in his room with no clothes on. He really loves it and I think that it is hilarious.
He has inherited a lot of his Mommy's stuffed animals.

Trying to climb into his crib. He really loves to climb.

He is trying to reach every stuffed animal that he can and throw it on the floor. It is a fun game that he plays with Mommy.

He is trying to get his Duckie bath tub.

On February 18th my Grandpa Gackle passed away of a heart attack. It was really hard to hear, but he was a very wonderful man who knew the Lord dearly. He is in a better place and no longer in pain. His funeral was on Monday, February 25th, but I went to my parents' house on the Friday before. Ben went to Billings to a Men's Advance and came back on Sunday. Anyway, this is a picture of Rhys sleeping in the car on the way down to Granma's house in Circle to be with the whole family.
Getting loves from Great Grandma Edna.

Playing with 2nd cousin Audree and ...

2nd cousin Rylee - they are sisters.

Audree just wanted to love on Rhys.

But Rhys already thinks that girls have cooties. HEE! HEE!

This is my double cousin (like a sister) Doree with her girls and Rhys & me.

This was the day of the funeral. We were taking all kinds of family pictures. This is one of my favorite uncles, Marlo, who lives in Georgia. We don't get to see him very much, which is very sad.

Family Photo - Aren't we cute?

We're back at home. Rhys really loves balloons, as do most kids, and he was really going to go after this balloon no matter where it went.

January 2008

Since I am so far behind in pictures I am just going to lump all the pictures together by month. I hope that is ok with you few people who probably look at the blog.

Rhys likes to make sounds by running his fingers over his mouth while he is saying something. It is really funny, so I thought that I would try to capture it in a picture. We call him a little Indian, because he sounds like he is making an Indian at a pow wow sound.

After he started crawling he started doing this pose. We think that he will enjoy yoga in the future. Is this the downward facing dog or do I have the wrong pose?

I thought it would be funny to catch a picture of him in his pose from underneath.

Papa Erickson enjoys Oreo cookies, so he though that he would share. Rhys didn't mind at all. He was in sugar heaven!

I told Papa that he gave him the cookie, so he could clean Rhys up afterwards and Papa lived up to his promise. Rhys really didn't get as dirty as I thought he would.

Standing up in his crib.

Walking with Daddy.

Such a big boy and standing so tall.

His first fat lip and I'm sure it's not going to be his last. Daddy was being a little too rough with him and he didn't catch himself with his hands, but his lip. Daddy felt terrible.

Cruisin' along the couch. It was really hard to watch him do this, because it meant that he was growing up and going to be getting into everything now.

More Pics from Columbus

We take that walker almost everywhere we go, because he loves to get around and it keeps him occupied and moving. Sometimes the moving part is not always a good thing, because he gets into everything. He really wanted Grandma's tree decorations.
He was determined and ...

relentless!

This was the best and most inexpensive thing that we have ever bought for Rhys. He loves his Duckie Bath Tub and it sits him up really good. It was only 10 bucks at Target, of course. This was the first time that he used it. He didn't want to get out.

Splish! Splash!

Cuter than words!

Just relaxin' and playin' with my cool duckies that light up.

Christmas in Columbus

I know what you all are thinking - "It is about time that you post something." Well, I am trying to get it done and caught up today while Rhys is napping, so we will see how that goes. Here are some pics from Christmas in Columbus. We took off from Vida on Christmas Day morning to have Christmas with the Larson side. When we got to Columbus it was time to eat. We got to see Uncle Luke and Aunt Amy for the first time since August. We also got to see Grandpa and Grandma Larson and Great Grandma Violet. Amy's parents Lennie and Gail and her aunt Terry also joined us. It was a lot of fun and of course Rhys was the life of the party.

Showin' off his walking skills.

Playing with Uncle Luke.

Gettin' loves from Great Grandma Violet.
Eating with Ron, Sally, Mike & Derek. That was later in the week.

My new best friend.

Could it be? Aunt Amy is playing with me.

Auntie Amy is a blast.

Uncle Luke is fun, too.

I think that Luke was ready for him to walk. He wasn't even crawling then, but he was about to crawl. He started crawling not too long after that.

They look pretty good with a kiddo in their laps.
