Random Most Recent Pics

Some of you know that I am making a scrapbook to record Rhys' years. Well, this is Rhys and I looking at his scrapbook. It is huge, I know, and this is only until Christmas. I have done more and since them I put his pages from birth to 6 months in that scrapbook and started a new scrapbook with pages from 7 months to 1 year. I have almost scrapped his entire 1st year. It is about as big as the scrapbook we are looking at in the picture. All that I have left is his Birthday. Then, I get to start a new scrapbook for 1 year +. I am definitely not scrapping as many pictures as I did for his 1st year.

Daddy was having a fun time chasing Rhys down the hallway. I parked myself in the best place to get a great picture. They were having a fun time as you can tell.

Rhys is definitely a goofy boy. He decided to put one of my decorative round boxes on his head like a hat. He did that all on his own with no help from us.

GOOFY!

This was today when he was trying to sit on the ball and keep his balance. He was having a blast!

Wrestling with Daddy. 1..2..3..PIN! Rhys is the winner.

Summer Vacation

After my reunion weekend, we stayed with Ben's Uncle Ron and Aunt Sally who live in Belgrade. We wanted to spend some time with them; Ben's cousin Tara and her husband Joel and their new little girl, Tori; and Ben's cousins Derek and Mike. Also, I wanted to do some shopping in Bozeman.

Unfortunately, Monday night Rhys started teething. This wasn't just your ordinary teething, this was the worst teething that he had ever had. It was a good thing that I brought along all of his drugs, because he couldn't have made it through with some pain relievers (and neither would have we). He had to sleep with us both nights, but this picture was of Wednesday morning with him cuddling with Daddy.

After Bozeman, we went to Columbus to spend time with Ben's parents, Jim and Carol. Ben really wanted to go fishing, so Friday we went up into the woods for Ben to fish. Jim was working so he couldn't come along, but Carol and her dog, Patches, came with us. On the way up a bear ran across the road in front of us. This is the first bear that I have ever seen in the wild. It was really awesome!

The Big Fisherman!

Rhys was having a blast being outside and running around.

He really liked Daddy's fishing pole, but he used it as a walking stick, which wasn't very good for it.

Checkin' out Daddy's fish!

Rhys and Patches

On Saturday, we went to the Montana Zoo. Jim was working again so he couldn't come along, but Carol came and then we picked up Grandma Violet. Rhys had such a blast. He really liked the farm animals: chickens, horses, goats, etc. Here he is bonding with a goat.

Rhys and Daddy as the farmer and the baby.

Rhys and Daddy as Daddy bear and baby bear.

Looking at the waterfall in the flower gardens. I think that he thought it was loud, because he kept covering his ears. It was really funny, because he had never done that before.

Checkin' out a peacock!

Looking cool in Mommy's shades on the way home.

College Roommate Reunion

August 29th-September 1st we had a college roommate reunion in Bozeman at Loren & Brett's house. Tamarah and kids (Kasey, Chase & Tessa); Joel, Lara and kids (Riley & Annika); us and of course Loren and Brett were all there. Sunday night Jolene and kids (Josie & Johannah) and her mom, Patti came to eat supper with all of us. It was a crazy and busy couple of days, but a ton of fun. It was wonderful to catch up with everyone, see everyone's little ones all grown up and to have some girl time.

It was bath time for the Duncan kids, so I threw Rhys in with the pack. From left, Tessa, Chase, Kasey and Rhys. Rhys had fun at first, but it got a little crowded after a while and he was ready to get out.

Bed time bonding. Ben was reading Rhys a book and Tessa wanted to read, too, so Ben put her in his lap. Riley was busy playing his video game.

Just chattin'.

Smiley Girl!

Annika just ate, so she was very happy.

Lo and his beer.

Silly Chase!

The whole Smith family.

Brett has such a way with little babies. Jolene's little one, Johannah, fell asleep in her arms.

Male Bonding, Friends & Horsey

Daddy and Rhys were male bonding one night. Rhys thought that Daddy's nipples were really fun to play with and he had a good time poking them like buttons. Of course, I had to capture it with a photo. Rhys was just having a blast which made us all laugh like crazy!

Good friends Jolene, Josie and Johannah came over one day to hang out with they were in the area. It was lucky, but we got them all captured in a picture together and they all don't look too bad either.

It is an annual event with my family to all go to Medora. We look around the town for a few hours, go eat their amazing, delicious pitchfork fondue for supper and watch the musical that night. It is always a late night, but a lot of fun! While we were walking around downtown a man riding a horse came up to the sidewalk and Rhys just had to get a closer look. He really has a thing about horses.
