4 1/2 Months Plus

Just teasin' us. Making us think that he was going to roll over.
Now he doesn't want to have anything to do with being on his back or trying to roll over.

I'm a farmer's grandson!
Go Green! Go John Deere!

I love my jumper!
Grandma caught me in the act of spitting.

Goin' for a ride with Grandpa on his combine.

Dressed for the occassion.
They look like they might be a little related!

5 months old and hangin' with my teddy bears.

My 1st Medora Musical. I liked it so much that I didn't want to eat and that never happens.

I like to have my clothes off!
I am getting really good at sitting up all by myself.
My 1st time eating cereal.
Boy is it good!
The last time I'll be in a shorts outfit. It is getting cold.
Don't I look just adorable!
Searching for just the right toy to play with.

Rhys and Cousin Kylie

This blog is all pictures of Rhys and his cousin Kylie. It has been a lot of fun to watch them get used to each other and to see how they both change. Kylie really wants to play with Rhys and he still doesn't know quite what to do with her or what to think, but when Rhys is able to get around I am sure that they will be after each other all the time and into a lot of trouble together.
This was just a few days after Rhys was born and
only two days after we had gotten home from the hospital.
I think that Kylie is more interested in the dog - I think that is what she is looking at.
Rhys was two months old here and Kylie was wanting to give him a kiss.
Kylie 1st Birthday Party!
Rhys wasn't very happy in this picture and Kylie looks concerned.
Neither one of them looks too interested in taking a picture. I think that Kylie is wanting to get out of the chair, because she is on a sugar high from eating her first piece of cake. Brady and Candace let everyone at the party know that they were expecting again by the shirt that Kylie is wearing. If you can't read it it says "I'm going to be a BIG Sister!" We were all shocked and excited!
Hangin' out on the floor together. Uncle Brady, Auntie Candace and Cousin Kylie came over to see us for the weekend. Rhys was 3 months old.

More of Rhys

This was the 1st picture that we got of him smiling.
He was only about a month and a half old.

This was when he was 2 months old.

Grandma Marlys just got done feeding him his bottle and was burping him. He really didn't enjoy getting burped, and still doesn't, because he has to stop eating.

He is having a blast at his cousin's 1st Birthday!

He was dedicated on Father's Day. Both sets of Grandparents were able to make it down, so that was good. Rhys did very good and didn't even cry when the pastor took him.

This is Rhys in his dedication outfit.
I think that it is the cutest outfit that he has had so far!

This is Rhys' 3 month picture. The quilt in the background was made by a wonderful woman that we know that does a lot of quilting. She is the wife of the person who preceded Ben as the Extension Agent. It has farmyard pictures on this side, as you can see, and it has differnt farmyard animals embroidered on the other with some of the thread glowing in the dark. It is absolutely adorable!

Rhys had just started to reach out and touch your face
and Daddy was playing with him.

We just got him this little chair that is soft plastic. It is really neat and works great for getting him used to sitting up. It has a couple different attachments and this one is a little tray with a place for a toy to stick in. He really enjoys it and worked great for a highchair until we got one.

He had just started to know how to hold his own bottle.
It is really nice when they can feed themselves, in a sense.

He is 4 months old here. He really hates to be on his tummy, but I somehow got him to smile. This was the 1st time that he really pushed himself up off the ground while on his tummy.

From the Beginning

Here we are in the hospital on the day he was born. He was so little I couldn't believe it. I just kept thinking that they had gotten his weight wrong, but as soon as I held him I knew he was itty bitty. Doesn't he just look adorable. I can't believe that was 6 months ago.

Proud Daddy and His Baby Boy!

Proud Papa Dennis and His "Peanut."

Proud Grandpa Jim and Grandma Carol.

None of his clothes would fit him, so when he would sleep he would wiggle out the neck holes. It was quite frustrating. No store in town sold preemie clothes or diapers, so Ben had to make a trip to Walmart in Williston to buy some preemie clothes and diapers. He did a great job with picking out the clothes. I was really surprised. Look at all of his loose skin! He doesn't have that problem anymore.

Rhys' 1st visit to the Doctor's Office. Look how skinny he is. He didn't even weigh 6lbs. and wasn't gaining very much weight. I was worried that I wasn't giving him enough food, so we started him on formula.

Rhys' 1st Bath - He really didn't like it at all!

He was, and still is, so cute when he sleeps. AHHH!!

Napping on Daddy.
